MIAMI COUNTY REPUBLIC: The new Paola Pathways trail system is taking shape around Lake Miola, but city officials now are working on finding a way to keep people from driving motorized vehicles on the new paths.

MIAMI COUNTY REPUBLIC: It was a busy year for Paola Pathways, as new trails were constructed in Wallace Park and along Hedge Lane. Paola officials announced in the summer that the city received a matching grant from the Sunflower Foundation that will allow for the construction of a trails system at Wallace Park.

Whether residents are looking for a route to take a brisk run to Lake Miola or in search of a nature trail to explore on a Sunday afternoon, Paola Pathways is looking to provide safe surfaces for everyone.
MIAMI COUNTY REPUBLIC: When members of a trails task force first met in November 2011, they knew they wanted to construct a series of trails throughout Paola, but they lacked a complete plan and funding to reach their goals. Now, after 20 months of meetings, fundraising and marketing, those same members are ready to turn their vision of a trails system into a reality.
